Dharma Yoga 1 with Nic

" Reduce what you want and lead a happy and contended life. Never hurt the feelings of others and be kind to all. Think of God as you get up and when you go to bed" Sri Guru Dharma Mittra.

  • Dharma Yoga’s Shiva Namaskar Vinyasa, a graceful and challenging posture flow that integrates cosmic energy into the physical, metabolic, and intuitive bodies
  • Pranayama, the breath of life that brings balance of mind, meditation practices that activate the pituitary and pineal glands for mental sharpness, and yoga nidra that brings deep recharging relaxation

This yoga class is based on the teachings by Sri Dharma Mittras, and will not only help you to get the body and mind healthy and good shape, but it also will help to develop and improve an awareness (or focus) on what is really important in your life….happiness and peace of mind.

The class will cover in short: an unique series of Asana with Vinyasa (dynamic movements), Pranayama (breathing technique), Relaxation, Meditation and Chanting.

Nicole

has been practicing auto-suggestive relaxation since she was a child. She came to Ireland to finish her Masters and fell in love with the people and the country. After a life changing event she decided to leave the academic career behind her and trained with the Yoga Therapy and Training Centre to become a full time Yoga teacher. She studied Anatomy and Physiology intensively and incorporated aspects of yoga therapy into her Yoga classes. For Nic it always has been a priority to make Yoga classes accessible to every person, with no limitation on age, shape or ability and presented with a combination of determination and humor. Nicole was invited to teach Yoga within the Munster Rugby Academy and taught the ‘Munster Boys’ in Cork and Limerick. In 2006 Nic opened up the Cork Movement Centre. Only a year later she became the Director of Studies for the YTTC Cork & Munster. 2009 were exciting times for Nic as she trained with two of the most inspiring Yoga teachers: Shiva Rea and her Guru Dharma Mittra, which allowed Nic to deepen her knowledge about Asthanga and Vinyasa Yoga. Nic’s real passion is the Aqua Yoga, living next to sea allows her to swim in the ocean at any time, so it was no surprise that Nicole started exploring the avenue in Aqua Yoga, combining the beauty of Yoga and therapeutic properties of Water together and trained as an Aqua Yoga teacher.

At the moment Nic is on a new journey on her Yoga path. Nic is expecting a baby and has to share the energy between pregnancy and the teacher training course, including running the Cork Movement Centre. All her classes are covered by Sarah or another YTTC qualified Yoga Teacher, please check the timetable of the Centre for more information.
