Amatsu with Sean Monaghan

Amatsu is an ancient Japanese medicine with a five thousand year history; it was only brought to this country in the past ten years by three westerners Dennis Bartram, William Doolan and Chris Rowarth. Amatsu practitioners undertake a very wide range of training including anatomy, physiology and Eastern philosophy.

Amatsu practice is based upon the Godai – “Five Factors for Health and Harmony” and that these need to be in balance for good health.

  • Physical
  • Emotional
  • Nutritional intake and excretion
  • Energy
  • Interaction within our environment

Amatsu is holistic in that it aims to balance the Godai, gentle movements release tension and help to restore the normal flow of blood; this can help with injuries, poor posture, toxin removal, body tone and supporting the immune and nervous systems.  Amatsu uses a variety of techniques including massage, cranial balancing and energy techniques, the combinations used can vary depending on each clients needs.
